The granted prayer

Remember this post? Alhamdulillah, Allah has answered my prayer. I'll be 25 next year, and He granted my prayer this year. :')

My parents were planning to bring me here on December three years ago, but the visa was closed by that time. What I learned was, Allah didn't grant my prayer early, one of the reason must be to test my patience and faith. And He knows much better if I were mentally or physically ready to be His guest.

I went to the Holy Land with my parents and my eldest brother, for 10 days, from 16th to 26th December 2013.

First, we went to Medina for three days. For a person who was raised in tropical climate country, I am honestly freezing here. The temperature even reached to 8 degree Celsius! But I love that somehow ^_^

Al - Masjid an - Nabawi (also known as Mosque of the Prophet)

Inside of the mosque. And there are lot of zamzam water barrels, and pardon me the black one is not any kind of model xD

Leaving Medina on 20th December, we headed to Mecca.

Friday night - after my first tawaf. Completed my first Umrah as well after taking the photo.

In front of Jabal Rahmah - where my brother keep trolling me about marriage.
According to history, this hill was the point where Adam and Hawa (Eve) met after they had been banished from the heaven. So it is considered as the landmark of love, marriage and family.

One evening, I was in the mosque waiting for Asar prayer. Suddenly my friend texted me requesting to see photo of Baitullah (Kaaba). [She went to holy land about seven years ago, so she missed the Baitullah so much], and I caught this. Bird eyes view of Baitullah - the pilgrims were preparing for Asar prayer. :)
[View from upstairs of tawaf circle]

All my life when I travelled anywhere, I easily thinking about my homeland, the local food, next task, etc. However, this was the first time ever in my life I didn't feel like coming back, I love being here VERY MUCH.

One of my friend told me, "Go to Baitullah as often as you are able to." I started feel that I have no more heart going to my dream vacation bla bla bla rich country bla bla or glamorous one. If I ever have chance again, Insyaallah I will put the Holy Land as my first choice :)

My 3 out of 5 prayers has been granted.
1. Finished study well.
2. Get a job.
3. Pilgrimage before 25.
4.  (not telling until achieved)
5.  (not telling until achieved)

Me (as Batman) : I'm gonna rip your throat, JOKER!
Those who asked (as Joker): Why so serious?

So, who said being the last child is fun?

In process...

Our mural painting progress so far... I can say 85%. What we've done for these 3 weeks so far. Coming to school every evening, unless it's raining. One week remains before the final practicum ends. The Headmaster has started asking me if we could make it before upcoming week ends. Well, Insyaallah... if the weather is fine. Anyway, it's sort of different than my original design, due the difference of wall's scale. Just using creativity to overcome the small problem. ^_^

Designing the wall

I know it's a long period no update blogger is here. Truly busy with my practicum, every single day I learn how to improve my teaching skill, how to control kids, and how to make the lesson fun and meaningful. Anyway, not much to talk, updating today just to ensure at least I do something this month. Just want to share here my mural design at school. Based on my designs, the Headmaster chose the rainbow one.

Haven't started drawing it on the wall yet. We'll start it tonight. Well, I have to use projector to trace back the image or else all the scales would extremely change. Our attempt to draw it during cloudy evening failed since the image won't appear from the projector. The surrounding was not dark enough to show the image clearly.

Strength of twinnies

It's already the second day of my 3rd phase practicum in SK (LKTP) Kota Gelanggi 2, Jerantut. To be honest, I didn't even have heart to go to school at the first day - yesterday was ---> (=.=). Perhaps this is my 3rd practicum, I didn't feel anymore excitement, and I wonder how my heart would feel then for posting xDDD - New school, new environment, new challenges are waiting.

However, my mood changed this morning. It's because I saw this cute twinnies: >__<
Left: younger sis, right: elder sis

Does it sound weird I'm talking about twins as if it relates to school? Well, I was waiting for the students for pre cross-country today at one of the checkpoint which is located in front of a house belongs to one of the teacher from that school. The twins are her daughter (which I forgot their names). Consider as lucky waiting at that checkpoint and made time to play around with the friendly toddlers. Since this morning, I felt so cheerful and have my heart back to teach. Thank you twinnies for making my day and giving me back strength to look forward for the challenges being here. Now I could see how kiddies could influence adult's thoughts.

This was one of the shot for pre cross-country. The event would be tomorrow. By chance, the boy with white shirt is my sports team member and he's so excited running at the 2nd place, telling me he'd be champion tomorrow. Well, whatever good for you, go ahead, boy. May your wish come true =)

The meow box

Guess what the heck is this kitten?

Yesterday, while I was spraying my glasses, suddenly I dropped it on the floor. And the result - the left glass went out from the frame. I tried to put it in back, but failed. I wonder something wrong with the frame strap for the glass. No optometrist opens on Sunday, so... :'(

The result is, I have to open another pair of toric lens. Actually I was planning to reduce the usage of lens 'cuz glasses is much brighter and clearer indeed. However, I'm consider as lucky having the lens as "substitute eyes" ha3. Now I can really see the benefit making one.

The kitten is my lensbox, I purchased it previous fasting month, cuz it seems cute ha3. Good, I use it finally. And just look at my handsome glasses, truly handsomely testing my patience. While not going out from my campus this exam fever, I have to use the lens the whole week. >.<

Incomplete task and the three beads

Next week will be the assessment. I haven't completed any artworks. Since I haven't drawn manga for ages, my skill is beyond my expectation. I draw much slower! 2 hours = one character. T_T OK please don't give up.
Photo: one of early sketch for my portfolio, about illustration and the technique. Currently I'm quite obsessed in drawing elf. ;)

I left my work for three days (from Friday to Sunday) to attend scout camp, for Three Beads.

The camp site.
Location: Pusat Kokurikulum PPD Jerantut.

My team - Sekawan Merah.
Location: Outside SK Tanah Rom
It takes about 6 - 8 miles from the camp site to reach here, by WALKING!

One of my favourite activity nowadays c:

Best campsite trophy.
Victory of 3 beads! Hahahaha~

Behind the scene: My team wished we'd never win this trophy, since the leader will always carry this damn heavy woods whole day, luckily our luck was on the last day, so it's less than 3 hours to hold it. <:

p/s: Less photos, less story to write. I'm gonna continue sketching ha3. ;P

The story of coriander and celery

I went to Abang Long's house this weekend. On Saturday, my sister in law, Kak Reeny was making soto. She asked me to buy celery. When I was at the grocery store, I see the celery has 2 colours - yellowish and fresh green. So I separated the yellowish one at different partition in the chiller. As I placed the yellow one on the top, I see another type of celery. I was wondering why would they put the same leaf at different place. I ignored it, and purchased what already in my hand.

At home:

Kak Reeny : Wawa!!! Apa awak beli ni! Ini bukan daun sup la!!! Daun ketumbar!!!
I : Eh? Betul la... daun sup kan macam tu.
Kak Reeny : Cuba awak cium ni. Mana sama dengan daun sup. Lawak betul!
I : Err... (agaknya yang sebelah daun kuning aku letak tadi tu daun sup yang betul).

By the chance, Kakak was on the way to Kak Reeny's house. I messaged her to buy the celery. When she arrived:

Kak Reeny : Girl! Ni pun daun ketumbar! Bukannya daun sup!!!
Kakak : Tak sama ke? Kat kedai tadi tengok ada yang satu kat bahagian atas macam dah layu warna kekuningan, Girl amik la yang hijau kat bahagian bawah. Ingatkan daun sup.
I : Kedai mana ko pergi Kak?
Kakak : Pasar Mini ****.
I : Hahahahah~ yang asingkan tu aku la. Tadi aku pun beli kat sana lepas tu salah.

*Kak Reeny went to the refrigerator and take out something*

Kak Reeny : Tengok ni lagi satu daun ketumbar. Abang awak pun hari tu Akak suruh beli daun sup dia beli daun ketumbar. Sama je korang 3 beradik. Ha3. Wawa beli paling banyak! Buat lawak je la korang ni.
I : Haa~ maknanya memang la susah nak bezakan~ ha3
Kakak : Jangan salahkan daun, salahkan genetik.

I guess it was a funny weekend. By the way sharing my experience, I'd like tell you where can you find the difference between coriander and celery (instead of the smell). Watch the root.

This is coriander's root. And I don't have celery's root photo. Ha3
Actually, celery has more hairs at the root.

I followed Kakak to Kajang, and while passing the Sate Kajang Haji Samuri's restaurant, I asked Kakak if rabbit sate was available. I badly wondered how did rabbit's taste was like. She said it's kinda pity to eat something cute. But for me, there is no sorry for food. Ha3. And finally we went there for dinner. I only ordered 2 sticks of rabbit sate.

This is sate rabbit. For me, the taste is same as chicken. But it's sweeter.
And no more! Enough. Cuz I expected more. Ha3

Nothing is wrong when it is truly right

It's been 3 weeks straight I went back to see my family. 2 weekends in Puchong, this weekend in Yong Peng. I don't feel enjoy living in the hostel during weekend, most friends are always going back home as well. It's been 2 weeks I haven't seen my parents. At the first place, to be honest, knowing that Kakak asked me to join her going back to Yong Peng, I felt like so freaking soulless since I knew I'd need to take the train (which I truly dislike) to return back to Lipis.  Mama and Ayah always discouraged me if I wanted to visit Yong Peng during weekend. They'd rather see me at Puchong (usually for family gathering). But for this time, they seemed fine with my decision.

Stopping for a while in Puchong:
Abang has just bought another iPad. Adam asked me to play with the camera with him and Aiden. He's truly drama king in the photo. And I keep trying to get Aiden's smile :D

All kinds of the distortion are always being Adam's favourite thing to do with Apple products. We laughed like we're the only persons existed. And I guess Abang quite annoyed with us. Yey! Indeed I love playing with my nephews. They're funny.

Just for a while playing in Abang's house, Kakak came to fetch me - we're going back to Yong Peng. Arrived at about 1.00++ am, the first thing I asked mama as I entered my house was, "Mama, Crocs mana?"
I purchased the Crocs (mine, Mama, Kakak and Ina) since previous April, however ordering from USA doesn't provide the delivery outside USA and Canada. And certain models are not available in Malaysia. So I placed the order to be sent at Yah's house at Nashville and as she returned to Malaysia, all her stuffs including mine were delivered by cargo. Thus, Mama teased, "Sanggup balik rumah sekejap ni sebab nak amik Crocs kan...". I just laughed. Actually the Crocs was the second reason. The main reason was I just felt like I wanted to see my parents.

What so good visiting my parents? I bet I would be regret if I didn't go back. Mama was actually having fever (which is so rarely happen to her) while Ayah is just suffering at his swollen left leg. I've forgotten what is the disease name, something infected from the skin, not nerve or muscle. Though I'm not one whom can cure their illness, at least when Kakak and I at home, we helped 'em doing housing chores for 2 days. I pray, hoping  that Mama and Ayah will get well soon and will always be protected and blessed by Allah. ^_^

Weekend with family

2 observations previous week didn't give me good smile. I don't want to talk more about it, well I'm still okay. As result, a ran away. Actually not that serious, I just suddenly craving to eat at Sushi King when Kakak asked me about her member card. Plus, I missed Aiden a lot, and I want to see Adam as well.

Kakak wanted me to take KTM from TBS to Kajang, which I've never done that - and I always say I NEVER take KTM at any cost. One lucky thing was, Amal, one of my batch mate was going back to Kajang as well - thanks to her dad for fetching us at LRT Sungai Besi and dropped me at Metropoint Kajang. He dropped me exactly in front of Starbucks Coffee (SC) - he suggested me to taste some cakes while waiting for Kakak. Actually I wanna go to Secret Recipe (SR) - thinking about greentea cheesecake that I badly wanna try since previous February! Since I didn't see the SR around, I went to Baskin Robbins (BR) and had 3 scoops of ice cream.

*sobs* Good girl was having her ice-cream alone.
3 fav flavours: Choc mint, almond mocha, blackforest c:

Until the last drop, Kakak hadn't shown up.
I was so grrr.... and I felt like turning my back and she's there. =.="
Looked like she's disappointed that I finished the ice cream already hahahah~
*and when I walked leaving BR, I found out the SR is actually beside SC*
*feel like struck by lightning*

It's dinner time!
Nyaha! I was soooo delighted!!!
Last time I went to Sushi King was around May or June last year!
Kyaaaa~ sushi wa daisuki! >.<

Small saucer: the disappointing takoyaki - I'd rather choose Jusco's.
Bowl: rice with scrambled egg and BBQ sausages + lettuce and mayonnaise.
I badly craving the squid-formed sausages since I watched it in Inusyasha at 2003! :D
Kakak said don't order weird food just because it looks cute - but who think I'd listen?

Going to Kakak's house, I found she bought many DVDs and I want to watch Green Lantern (cuz it's starred by Ryan Reynolds) but Kakak said the movie was sucks. She pestered me to watch Harry Potter 7 Part 1 since she booked the Part 2 ticket for Saturday. (4 seats for us + Adam & Aiden). She said I must watch part 1 first or else I'd keep wondering the plots. Really great weekend night, we watched Sucker Punch as well (and this is truly a horrible movie!)

We took Adam on Saturday at his granny's house (without Aiden cuz Abang Long didn't let Aiden joined us). During the movie, Adam with his quite loud voice tone keep asking us "Eh? Kenapa telinga dia tajam, gigi dia tajam, hidung dia tajam?? Dia toyol ke, Cuwawa???" (referred to the elf). "Kenapa orang botak yang takde hidung tu kepala dia macam nak pecah?" (referred to Voldermort's head with clear veins). Well, he's smart actually. We told him to low down his voice for anything he's asking. But since it's my 4-year-old Adam, he whispered like normal talk. LOL. After about an hour, he slept on my lap. No wonder why he acted so awkwardly. 2.00++pm is Adam's sleeping time, we should've more alert about it. Plus, Harry Potter is our childhood movie, not Adam's, no wonder he didn't enjoy it. But I felt he's acting very cute and adorable. ^_^

Sending Adam back to his granny's house, I met Kak Reeny and Aiden, they're from Pudu. Less than 30 minutes to see Aiden. *sobs*. Looked like Aiden was excited seeing me. When I carried him, he was uttering many words to me. His vocabulary has increased. I love playing with infant that just begin to talk, it feels like playing with Talking Tom in iPhone. Ha3!!!

Healed

I opened another set of my toric lens - to test my eyes. Alhamdulillah seems that my left eye is healed. No more extra tears. I feel really comfortable ^__^

The lens are colourless - 14.5 mm. Less nerd, at least he3. The glasses give me red mark at the top of the nose. Maybe the silicon underlayers are not soft enough for my delicate skin.

However, glasses are still essential for me, especially for outdoor. I always need my transition glasses for my eye care under the sunlight.

Would you marry me if I could be very handsome

A step to my hometown, to attend Ain's wedding.

From Lipis to Puchong:
Meeting him is MANDATORY.
Kiddie you're so adorable!
I knew you just wanted to play with the kitty-face bread.

From Puchong to Yong Peng with Abang Ngah and Kak Anis, I was "zzz..." in the car and arrived at home at very very very sleepy hour. My appearance at hometown was a surprised for Ain's family - since I said I couldn't to attend her wedding due my packed schedule.
Ain is my cousin, we went to the same school since Primary 4 to Form 5 - for  8 years. She's my closest cousin - one of the reason is we born in the same year. She's my playmate (we love playing paper doll mostly), my fighting mate, and even my partner-in-crime. But after SPM, we made our own way differently. I wasn't her bridemaid on her wedding, but I was her whole-day-messenger ha3.

Since we're kid, we used to say we wanted to get married at the same time - but she surpassed me already LOL. At her engagement day previous year, she asked me "Bila kau nak cari boyfriend? Kata nak bersanding sama-sama." Of course it's too early for me - I'm focusing on my study, yet my elder sister hasn't get married. Ain got her lover much earlier than me, and she's graduated and working already - so I said "Jangan tunggu aku la. ha3"

Oh, I almost forgotten to say, she's married with Edy, her colleague - a friendly guy from Negeri Sembilan.

At the evening, she asked me to accompany her for outdoor photo shooting.
1st location: I guess this is a haunted house.
Almost decayed house structure - I couldn't stand with the mosquitoes!

2nd location: Pantai Minyak Beku

It's a new experience for me watching how they did the outdoor wedding photography, carrying Ain's veil, watching out her step (the bride was wearing heels of course), standing by with Edy's coat, and their umbrella (maybe I'd be good to be her best woman he3). Luckily the photographer is very friendly, so I didn't feel awkward following 'em. I couldn't wait to see the last photo - 3 of us with very beautiful scenery. Another benefit was - I finally stepped on to Pantai Minyak Beku! It may be odd to know someone who was raised in Batu Pahat has never been to this beach - it's funny to think back I went to many beaches in Malaysia, but not at my own place.

p/s: please ignore the title, it has nothing to do with her marriage. hahahahahah~

Pottery making in Temin

Yesterday, 2 PSV units (mine and senior) went to Pusat Kraf Temin, Jerantut for pottery making. From the campus at 7.30am, we arrived there almost 9.00 am. If you've been to Jerantut, you know how the road is - like a safety roller-coaster. Every student required to make at least 3 types of pottery in different techniques - scabbing, coiling, throwing and (I forgot another one).

Temin Kraf - pottery : ceramic and porcelain.

Owner: Cik Mat (back with blue shirt) and a practical student making a demonstration of coiling technique.

Let's play with clay - it's fun. ^__^

Scabbing technique - gluing the clay to cover holes, flaws, etc.

Throwing - my face looked like ceramic with glazing already.

Some samples of our masterpieces.

The ceramics will be burnt in a furnace to get rid of water contained in the clay and next to be covered by glazing and burn again. We left the 'em and return back to campus at about 5.30 pm. It was a very freaking tiring day, I couldn't even feel my palm due tiredness kneading the clay.

My left eye sees you

It's about my left eye again. Finally I went to hospital, consider as unplanned for today's schedule. By coincidence I saw Ruhil and Kak Wani were saying hi to me when I was on the way to go back to hostel, they both were sitting on the bench at Dataran Bestari, waiting for taxi to go hospital. I joined 'em. Thank God, I don't need to wait until this Wednesday to go there as I planned. :D

Good thing was we didn't have to wait soooo long since there was not so many patients today. After seeing the Medical Assistant (MA), he directed me to do eye test. Some assistants there thought there was something wrong with my glasses and told me I should've changed the new one. And I told 'em again and again I change my glasses every single year, and the one I'm wearing now was made on February - and also the problem is just at my left eye, not both. Finally, the MA gave me a form to refer to ophthalmologist. I was like 'err.. do I have to?'

Medicines from hospital - eye drops and chloro... (I've forgotten). I guess the pink cap looks so cute ha3

The appointment with ophthalmologist suppose to be 14th July, but I asked to postponed it since next week I'll start my practicum and no time to see the doctor. Plus, the appointment only available before noon. Thus, I'll be seeing the doctor on September - well I requested the date after I finish my practicum. The staff there even said "agaknya bulan 9 mata awak dah baik" and I replied "kalau baik saya tak datang la" =P

I guess I got another sickness - headache, but more to left side head. Dear Allah, I hope I could endure all the pain as I did before. Make me stronger and full of patience, please. You always have the reason why You test me, and help me to accept it with faith. =)

God is testing my faith

My left eye seems quite troublesome now. I've just noticed this problem since previous Saturday when my left eyes produced lots tears when I inserted my lens on it. On Tuesday, I tried to insert it back, and again same problem occurred at my left eye. I could only see clearly by right eye. What could I see obviously was sticky tears at my left lens - not at my right lens. Tears couldn't stop flowing and I kept rubbing my left eye until it got red and very itchy.

The next day, during the art lecture, I did the same thing - kept rubbing my left eye. Thus, I've just noticed something seems Déjà vu - I used to do the same thing ever since previous semester during lecture before I started using lens - before April. I've just realized it was one of the reason why I always needed Eye Mo every time, it because when my left eye keep flowing with tears, I kept rubbing and this made my eye irritated. I always feel that Eye Mo could relieve my eyes perfectly - though I know there's side effect for constant using. When I closed and opened my left eye, I felt like a thick membrane existed on it for a few seconds. I searched some information regarding eyes problem, and one of the thing I'm afraid most is glaucoma.

I decided to go hospital today to check it so I went out with Anne at 3.30pm - accompanying her to BSN to make her new ATM card at the first place. Lots people in the bank. Anne's turn was at 4.15pm. While waiting, I kept rubbing my left eye with tissue - tears getting more sticky. After she had successfully renewing her new pin number at the ATM outside, one of the banker came to us and asked Anne about internet banking. He asked me to do the same thing - I told him I've unsuccessfully registered the BSN internet banking 2 times and he ordered me to get the new iPin from the ATM. I made a straight face. Guess what appeared on the ATM slip?

2 Policemen on duty standing at the door and started having a short conversation with me.

Policeman 1 : Ok dik?
I                   : (shook my head and showed the ATM slip stated DENIED)
Policeman 1 : Awak cukup 18 tahun tak?
I                   : CUKUPLAH! (suddenly little bit pissed off)
Policeman 1 :  Ye ke???
Policeman 2 : Betul dah 18? Lahir bulan berapa?
Policeman 1 : Umur sekarang berapa dik?
I                   : Saya 22 lah! (unsatisfied tone)
Policeman 2 : Eh 22? Sama dengan saya la!
I                    : ...........
Policeman 1 : Laaa... biar betul dah 22 budak ni...
I                    : (=.=)"
Policeman 2 : (Talked to Policeman 1) Umur sama dengan saya rupanya...
I                   : (ignored)

Sorry, I didn't mean to be rude by raising my voice, but I kept thinking it's already 4.50pm and I was chasing the time to go to hospital. I was just little pissed off with the banker asking Anne to get into the bank again to promote internet and mobile banking. Finally we arrived at the hospital at 5.13pm - just few people waiting there. I asked a nurse whether I still could get treatment and she said it's already closed. Well, I didn't blame anyone for what happened, Allah is always testing my faith. So just be more patient dear myself. I still have my right eye =)

Finishing the semester break

I've been waiting for more than a year to use my passport, which will end June 2012 - so I went to Universal Studios Singapore (USS) with Yah, Nabilah and Nabihah. Departed from Yong Peng at about 5.30am, arrived at JB at 8.00 am - we parked the car at Tune Hotel JB, and purchased the 10.30 am bus and USS tickets there.  It's RM25 - bus (go and return) and $72 - USS (the minimum price without meal and hotel).

Tune Hotel JB

While waiting for the bus, we went for breakfast nearby the hotel -
lontong + sambal sosej with ice lime drink.

And finally we're here! yey!

My companions.

And here are the places we went:
New York City

Light, Camera, Action Studio hosted by Steven Spielberg.

Sci-Fi City. We played roller coaster - Battlestar Galactica: HUMAN
We're at the 1s row and it's WOW! I won't ride it anymore ha3

Ancient Egypt - my favourite studio!

We played another roller coaster -
but it's indoor for this studio and much fun with the effect around.
In ditch black place, it's called as Revenge of the Mummy.

The Lost World - we went for Jurassic Park Rapids Adventure.
It took 2 hours just to queue - the most crowded place.
But it's worth. :)

Take a break - have a box of nachos!

Far Far Away - Shrek 4D Adventure.

We're starving and decided to eat and continue going to Madagascar after the lunch (but it's 5.00pm already) - we entered the food court and one staff said,

"I'm sorry girls, most of the food here are non halal, you can only eat nasi ayam penyet there" (pointed at nasi ayam penyet booth)

and as we're about to go there, other staff said,
"Miss, I rasa jangan makan kat sini tau, walaupun tu nasi ayam, tapi kami takde certificate halal, jadi kalau rasa was was baik makan kt Egypt dengan Shrek je, kat sana memang confirm halal."

When we're about to exit, another staff said,
"Girls, we're sorry we don't provide halal food here, pork and lard are served. Really sorry, you can go to Egypt cafe or Shrek."

Well, thanks to the staffs for being aware of Muslim's sensitivity.

Late lunch at Oasis Spice Cafe - Pharaoh's Baryani set.

It was so late to go to Madagascar, since our bus was at 7.30, and we need to rush. But before leaving the USS, I noticed the  Walk of Fame at Hollywood Boulevard.

Sorry for my pose Elton John, I only managed to snap on yours. Ha3

It's a great experience and we planned to visit there again next time, because we probably can't make time like this holiday to go out together - Yah is going to work soon while Nabilah will continue her upcoming semester without break. Or perhaps I'll go with someone else. ha3~
