The granted prayer

Remember this post? Alhamdulillah, Allah has answered my prayer. I'll be 25 next year, and He granted my prayer this year. :')

My parents were planning to bring me here on December three years ago, but the visa was closed by that time. What I learned was, Allah didn't grant my prayer early, one of the reason must be to test my patience and faith. And He knows much better if I were mentally or physically ready to be His guest.

I went to the Holy Land with my parents and my eldest brother, for 10 days, from 16th to 26th December 2013.

First, we went to Medina for three days. For a person who was raised in tropical climate country, I am honestly freezing here. The temperature even reached to 8 degree Celsius! But I love that somehow ^_^

Al - Masjid an - Nabawi (also known as Mosque of the Prophet)

Inside of the mosque. And there are lot of zamzam water barrels, and pardon me the black one is not any kind of model xD

Leaving Medina on 20th December, we headed to Mecca.

Friday night - after my first tawaf. Completed my first Umrah as well after taking the photo.

In front of Jabal Rahmah - where my brother keep trolling me about marriage.
According to history, this hill was the point where Adam and Hawa (Eve) met after they had been banished from the heaven. So it is considered as the landmark of love, marriage and family.

One evening, I was in the mosque waiting for Asar prayer. Suddenly my friend texted me requesting to see photo of Baitullah (Kaaba). [She went to holy land about seven years ago, so she missed the Baitullah so much], and I caught this. Bird eyes view of Baitullah - the pilgrims were preparing for Asar prayer. :)
[View from upstairs of tawaf circle]

All my life when I travelled anywhere, I easily thinking about my homeland, the local food, next task, etc. However, this was the first time ever in my life I didn't feel like coming back, I love being here VERY MUCH.

One of my friend told me, "Go to Baitullah as often as you are able to." I started feel that I have no more heart going to my dream vacation bla bla bla rich country bla bla or glamorous one. If I ever have chance again, Insyaallah I will put the Holy Land as my first choice :)

My 3 out of 5 prayers has been granted.
1. Finished study well.
2. Get a job.
3. Pilgrimage before 25.
4.  (not telling until achieved)
5.  (not telling until achieved)

Jackpot day

Original report: http://www.utusan.com.my/utusan/info.asp?y=2012&dt=0328&pub=Utusan_Malaysia&sec=Pahang&pg=wp_02.htm

This morning I was conducting the kid scouts marching, with my scout uniform. After finished it, the GPK Koko came to my table, giving me a photocopy of newspaper report and said, "Najwa you are so lucky today." For three minutes I was puzzled watching myself on the newspaper while thinking how come the activity just now has already been reported in Utusan Malaysia. I just kept quiet and said nothing.

Luckily I don't have alzheimer, just recalled that I was doing the same thing previous week, wearing the same uniform and somebody was taking my photos. But I have no idea it'd be something to be published, just having thought I was just some documentation for school activity. About 1 hour, I got messages and PMs my friends asking about this. haha~

The meow box

Guess what the heck is this kitten?

Yesterday, while I was spraying my glasses, suddenly I dropped it on the floor. And the result - the left glass went out from the frame. I tried to put it in back, but failed. I wonder something wrong with the frame strap for the glass. No optometrist opens on Sunday, so... :'(

The result is, I have to open another pair of toric lens. Actually I was planning to reduce the usage of lens 'cuz glasses is much brighter and clearer indeed. However, I'm consider as lucky having the lens as "substitute eyes" ha3. Now I can really see the benefit making one.

The kitten is my lensbox, I purchased it previous fasting month, cuz it seems cute ha3. Good, I use it finally. And just look at my handsome glasses, truly handsomely testing my patience. While not going out from my campus this exam fever, I have to use the lens the whole week. >.<

Biskut kapal terbang

New semester has just started, I'm now in Sem 6, gonna wait 1 1/2 years more to grad. (Owh please make it fast). One thing I've been waiting during holiday was biskut kapal terbang (plane-formed biscuit) from my room mate, Kokna (supposed to be Kak Na, but I changed it) :P

This biscuit was one of my favourite childhood snack. I used to bought it about 50 cent in a small plastic bag, from a grocery and having it at evening while watching my brother playing takraw or badminton. (You can imagine I was a non-stop-chewing monster cookie back then :D). Last time I had it was at 6 or 7 - and I didn't find it sell anywhere, until one day I was talking with Kokna about it and she said perhaps the thing I wanted was available at Dataran Syahbandar, Kuala Terengganu. I'm so lucky having a  room mate from Terengganu for this 4 years! First time she bought it for me was previous March holiday - and that made me delighted a lot. Just imagine you got what you've been craving for 15 years! >.<

See the form? It looks like a jet or plane.

In the previous semester break, I ordered for 5 packets. Yesterday, she only brought 3 packets but the plastic are bigger and the quantity is more than I expected. She told me I was so lucky that only that 3 packets left when she was dropping by at Dataran Syahbandar.

Don't get deceived. It can't fly. Though the colour is red, it's not spicy.

My jenglots.

If you're wondering what is the definition of jenglot, please refer here.

But jenglots belong to me aren't such thing. They're all plushies that hibernate on my bed at hometown. It may be weird I call such cute things as jenglots, just random name - some people asked me why put such scary name for cute stuff, and I said it's just for fun. It's been a month since last time I went back to hometown and the jenglots already covered with dust. When I entered my room, I sneezed. Mama always vacuums my room, but no one cares about my jenglots.  Plus, their size are too big and that disturb me while sleeping - I don't like hugging bolster nor plushie when I sleep. They're not belong to me alone, including Kakak's jenglots. I don't want to put the jenglots on my bed anymore. They're too cute to resist. Ha3

Pink Badot in the washing machine. The small bear is just another decoration in my room.

We're JENGLOTS!
Not in picture - still washing (Jack the skeleton head & Totoro)

Actually I placed all other plushies in Ayah's wardrobe. Don't be surprised, that's what I did when I was 9, I found there's a space (at the bottom partition) in his wardrobe and that's the ideal place to keep 'em. Ha3.

 Jenglots in Ayah's wardrobe.
When I opened it, they're much more dust than ones on the bed! ;P

It's not surprise if the readers surprised reading this entry - yes I DO LOVE PLUSHIES.
I may look rigid, bold and blunt, but actually I love cute stuffs, sometimes.=)

Day 27 – What kind of person attracts you?

Dear gentleman,
You don't need to be handsome, tall, rich, freakin' romantic, stylish, etc. to attract me.^_^

For me, it's pretty attractive when a man cares about his grades, neat & tidy, and knows how to make a good conversation with me. (but it doesn't mean you must be too friendly and talkative). I also mostly attracted to those whom is elder than me, usually 2-5 years elder. (Hi, I'm 22. LOL). Plus, I really like watching those (either male or female) who never left his responsibility towards Allah, able to be an Imam. NO SMOKING! of course. It'd be bonus if the man can cook! (I guess this one is quite essential, too). Another criteria is those who loves sport - watching people sweating brings my perception that the person must be someone who cares about healthy lifestyle. But heck no I don't attracted to muscular guy.

Physically, I don't really mind how does he looks, average and normal is fine enough to pleasure my eyes. However, if you're wondering my type - fair, 15 -20cm taller than me (I'm 157 cm) with short light black or dark brown hair. Sometimes I also attracted to those who has masculine looks like Jensen Ackles.

Day 11 – A picture of your favorite memory

The year we reached 20 - the beginning of adulthood. I have chance to do this reckless thing with my friends, yes very RECKLESS - Empangan Jaleh has been declared as prohibited area now.

Here's the story to share:

It was a public holiday (I'm not sure which one) we're having our picnic together, reached at Empangan Jaleh (15 minutes from my campus) at early morning. The waterfall looks so beauty, the place was recommended by our tutor. He said it felt like messaging when we're sitting under the waterfall - ok that's not the point.

Playing around, almost afternoon - the water flow was getting rapid. Yet, we were surrounded by very strong fishy smell. We climbed up the waterfall  (and the stones structure indeed is slippery and we could easily fall down and injured.) to see what's up there - where's the water comes from.

Guess what we've seen - CAGE CULTURE!!!! (+.+).

Day 10 – A photo of your favorite place to eat.

I used this place as my number one, each time I went out with my sister;
But ever since the halal matter turned as a dispute, I've stopped eating here.

So, now:
Any Pizza Hut in front of my eyes! (except when I'm broke lalalala~)
